WHY DEMOCRACY IS DYING
In our society, democracy
means that we elect our leaders: the men and women who sit in Parliament.
The theory is that they are free to make our laws and regulations in line
with the election manifestos they publish (then ignore). It is assumed that
they can do this because they are not subservient to any external bodies.
But this is an illusion.
With increasing speed since
1918, a number of influential international bodies have come into being
e.g.:
The
League of Nations (1919-1946) succeeded by The United Nations (1945)
The
International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (1944)
The
General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and its successor, the World
Trade Organization (WTO) (1947 and 1995)
The
World Health Organisation (1948)
The
North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) (1949)
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
(OECD (1961)
The
Organization of African Unity (OAU) and its successor, the African Union
(AU) (1963 and 2002)
The
Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (1967)
The
European Union (EU) (1993)
Each
of these bodies has come to have a significant impact on Parliament, either
directly through law as it was with the EU or with recommendations from, for
example, the WHO whose mandates which most countries accept with little or
no debate.
Although lacking in direct democracy, most of these bodies have some measure
of indirect democracy in that they are staffed by senior officials from
participating countries. But now these bodies are becoming redundant as a
completely undemocratic organisation is mandating the majority of
recommendations and regulations affecting our current and future lives: the
World Economic Forum (WEF). The UK Parliament is one country blindly
following the WEF lead. The Net Zero and ESG policies are examples of this.
So what is the WEF?
The
World Economic Forum is an international non-governmental organization of
billionaires, business and technology leaders head-quartered in Geneva,
Switzerland. It was founded on 24 January 1971 by German engineer Klaus
Schwab. Members are appointed, not elected, enabling an
attractive way of exercising power without being responsible to an
electorate. The WEF's basic premise is that governments in their present form are
incapable of ‘designing’ for an increasingly complex future. This task must
now be performed by the ‘brightest and best’ like themselves. To this end,
they produce lengthy policy documents which governments tend to obey as it’s easier
than doing their own thinking.
An
example of this is Climate Change. The WEF claims that human emissions of
carbon dioxide CO2 in the atmosphere are driving the planet’s
temperature to unprecedented heights. The WEF proposes that this is a global
problem and must be tackled on a global scale, with all countries following
its Net Zero agenda.
The WEF has stated
1,
with a flagrant disregard for historical truth (and grammar!), that “with
20 of Earth’s 35 vital signs showing record
extremes and 2023 experiencing the highest monthly surface temperature ever
recorded (likely the hottest the planet has been in 100,000 years)”.
It is interesting to note that no experiment has ever been
carried out to determine the actual effect of CO2 in the
atmosphere. (Or, if it has, the results have been suppressed.)
Fortunately,
we don’t need one (although it would be nice to have) as we can study
history instead. This graph2 by CO2 R.A. Berner, 2001 (GEOCARB
III) is taken from
real Ice-core samples and not the fake and unreliable models used by the
‘elite’ liars.
It
shows that CO2 levels have varied widely throughout the planet’s
history and are not linked with temperature. Notice, also, that past
temperatures were much higher than now yet life continued to flourish.
It is
clear from history that Net Zero propaganda is based on false claims and
ignores contrary evidence and the experts who state in the World Climate
Declaration that there is no climate emergency. “The geological
archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has
existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as
recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are experiencing
a period of warming.”
In summary,
Ice-cores covering thousands of years show, there is no link between CO2
in the atmosphere and earth’s temperature. In short, Net
Zero is politics not science.
So
what are we to make of this? Why does the WEF promote this particular
fallacy and others like DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and ESG
(Environmental, Social and Governance.)?
As
with so many human actions, good advice is to ‘follow the money.
So look at the WEF’s members, what do they have in common when it comes to
money? The answer is simple. They want more government spending on new
initiatives, subsidies and funding which they can tap into to make
themselves even richer than they are today.
And,
for them, the good news is that it comes from the little taxpayers who do
not understand what is happening and go along with it through a vague
feeling that ‘it’s good for the planet’. They only notice, as some are now
doing, that increasing taxation and higher energy costs means they are
getting steadily poorer each year while electricity supply declines. By contrast, billionaires are doubling
their enormous wealth every five years while CEO’s of large companies enjoy
salaries of several million a year. Senior bureaucrats will soon follow.
So, what is the answer? More socialism? On
the contrary, socialists are keen on this development as it increases the
size and power of government - and their leaders can also grow richer.
No, the answer is the very thing the WEF,
MSM and BBC decry. They daren’t say the truth, that they want an end to
democracy, so they denigrate it as ‘populism’.
Which tells us how we can stop them.
